Shane Desguin

SAC Shane Desguin joined FDLE in 2005 as a special agent assigned to the Protective Operations Section. In 2007, he transferred to the Florida Computer Crime Center, where he worked Internet Crimes Against Children and computer intrusion cases. In 2010, he was promoted to Inspector in the Florida Fusion Center focusing on domestic security. He received another promotion in 2012, to special agent supervisor of the Brooksville Field Office. Then in 2013, he was assigned to the newly created TBROC Intelligence Squad where he supervised the intelligence and Joint Terrorism Task Force squads. In July of 2016 he was promoted to assistant special agent in charge in the Office of Statewide Intelligence at FDLE headquarters in Tallahassee. He was promoted to special agent in charge of the Office of Statewide Intelligence in August of 2017.

SAC Desguin began his law enforcement career in 1994 with the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office. During his time there he served in the Road Patrol section, Intelligence Unit and the Vice and Organized Crime Unit. Prior to his law enforcement career he served in the United States Army as a military police officer. During his military service he was deployed as part of Operation Desert Shield and Operation Desert Storm.

SAC Desguin holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice and a master’s degree in information systems management from Hodges University
