Mr. Shinn is the partner-in-charge of the Bradenton office of the Carr, Riggs, and Ingram CPA firm. A CPA since 1981, Mr. Shinn was the managing partner of Shinn & Company, LLC, before merging with Carr, Riggs, and Ingram in 2018. With almost 40 years of experience, Byron has made it his priority to serve his clients with integrity and “big picture” views. With his atypical approach and entrepreneurial spirit, he has become a proven advisor for industries such as agribusiness, multi-generational family businesses, and strategic tax planning. Byron’s expertise extends into areas like business consulting, tax planning, estate and family planning, and Passthrough entities.

Mr. Shinn is heavily involved in his community. He is Chairman of the University of South Florida, Sarasota Manatee Regional Campus, sits on the Boards of Trustees for the University of South Florida System and was past Chairman of the Florida Board of Accountancy. He also recently testified before Congress Ways and Means Committee regarding IRS oversight issues. Byron is currently serving as a Committee Member of the AICPA’s Tax Practice and Procedures Committee (TPPC).
